First off, I'm a complete noob at building pcs and wanted to get into, considering a love video games and digital art and such. So, super excited, I began my adventure of building this rig
SPECS(all parts are new except the the GPU, ordered it off eBAY)
-Asus Rog Strix B350-F Motherboard
-nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6gb MSI -Afterburner
-8gb RAM
-500W EVGA Power supply
-Ryzen 5 2600 AMD CPU
-1 TB Hard Drive
-ROSEWILL ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case, supports up to 400 mm long VGA Card, comes with two fans pre-installed - Front 120 mm Fan x 1, Rear 120 mm Fan x1 (TYRFING)ROSEWILL ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case

Now, I go through all the building shenanigans and I'm finally ready to test it out. I plug the computer into an outlet and flick the power switch to I. I see the led on the motherboard light up and stay lit, and I notice the power switch indicator light on with a orange color. But that's it. The CPU fan doesn't start, the GPU fan doesn't start, the case fan doesn't start. The power on light at the top of the case is not on. Naturally, I'm terribly disappointed and confused.

What could be the issue? If you need more info or pics I'd be happy to provide them.

Oof, sorry man I accidentally downvoted your answer. Also yeah, the mobo supports 2nd gen Ryzen. And I haven't read that yet - I'll get to it and update the answer if any progress happens.

One more thing - I plugged in another CPU cooler to the same CPU Cooler Header on the MOBO to see if it was the mobo screwing things up or just the stock fan I used. The aftermarket cooler didn't work either.

Flip through the motherboard manual if you have it. Sometimes there's a jump switch you may have to remove or some sort of set up you have to meet to get your system to boot properly. Maybe it's as simple as wrong power button jump switch installation...which is why nothing powers up.
