m.2 main storage

would it be recommended to use the Samsung 960 PRO 512 GB as my main boot drive and 2 Samsung 960 EVO 1 TB as my storage for my big files and games etc? just wondering if it would for some reason cause problems or not be the best as storage.

The m.2 should probably be used as the OS drive.
Depending, of course, if your motherboard can handle it.

But you also probably won't see any magical performance difference in a games machine, either way.

no not right at the moment looking at parts for a pc for gaming, video editing, photo editing, movie streaming, etc. so just a all around top of the line pc

Firstly, that's freaking expensive. Like a couple of thousand USD, but if that's your budget then... lucky you.
Secondly, there's technically no issues with it, except you should use the M.2 SSD as your OS drive.
Thirdly, you don't need such a fast OS Drive, buy an 860 Pro or Evo, other than that... you're fine.
