I was gaming on a my GT 610 until I recently came to know that my cpu that is i5 4440S has integrated GPU Intel HD 4600, so my question is will the igpu perform better than GT 610 for gaming?
PC specs : i5 4440S 2.8 GHz stock 3.3 GHz turbo, ZOTAC Nvidia GT 610 2 GB synergy edition, 4 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz RAM.

The 610 will be better simply because it doesnt use sysstem ram. You will be able to do VERY Light gaming and mostly just watch videos. But it will be a better choice then the igpu. Also....when you do finally get the 1060 you should just have to plug it in and if it works out you wont have to install any new drivers. Nvidia drivers are ussually pretty good about not having to reinstall drivers if you swap out a gpu that is still compatible with the installed driver.

If you are somewhat serious about gaming, you would do yourself a huge favor by stepping up to at least a GT1030, maybe even a 1050Ti.

Intel IGPs aside from Iris Pro are pathetic for most gaming. AMD's Ryzen 2200G is much faster (almost on par with the GT1030 in some cases) and still is only adequate for the less demanding modern titles.

Both temporary solutions suck kind of hard :)

The only real benefit to the GT610 is that it doesn't eat a potentially large chunk of system RAM.

BTW, your gaming is still going to suck with only 4GB of system RAM. Most games that can make use of a GTX1060 will require at least 8GB of system RAM (12GB is becoming increasingly common) to run smoothly. At 4GB, expect chronic stuttering in all but the lightest games due to swapping and having to reload data from HDD/SSD.
