Intel Q6600 too hot to handle for my CPU fan. What to do?

I recently purchased an Intel C2Q Q6600 @ 2.4GHz (G0). But the CPU temperature seems to be abnormal. I am attaching image of snap of CoreTemp. Do I need to buy a custom cooler? I was thinking of over-clocking but looking at these temperatures I don't wish to over-clock. By the way I've not applied thermal paste on the CPU chip. My CPU fan's link is: https://www.amazon.in/Terabyte-CPU-Cooler-intel-LGA775/dp/B01BDOI9KE. CoreTemp snap link: https://ibb.co/jut7gx. Thermal paste came with CPU fan but I didn't applied it. Shall I apply it?

Thermal paste makes a huge difference and you should never run a pc without any (unless you're only quickly testing something).

You might want to get a better cooler if you plan on overclocking your cpu considerably, but you will also need high frequency memory to achieve such an overclock (low freq ram will only allow for a low fsb overclock, and the tape method will only get this cpu to 3ghz). Your current cooler is should be good enough for stock speeds or a slight overclock but you must apply thermal paste. This will make all the difference :)

1. a thin layer of thermal past is REQUIRED between cpu and heatsink for transfer of heat.

2 also the Q65600 has a TDP of 105W, overclock this will reach closer to 110W-120W (depending how high your cpu goes)
I suggest a Cooler that can handle 130W DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX 400

I just applied thermal paste. New temperatures are: https://ibb.co/iF6G8c . Are these temperatures okay? Any idea of temperature rise when I'll play games at 720p using GTX 750 2GB. Shall I add a case fan too? Currently, I have 1 case fan.

I just tested my CPU for 100% load using prime95. Temperatures of almost all cores were above 90 degree celsius. Pic: https://ibb.co/k8gYoc . Should I install one additional case fan so that it can help for cooling?

You need an aftermarket heatpipe cooler for that. The Q6600 G0 is 95W. It shouldn't be running that hot at 1.2875V. Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo is popular. There are others though. There's no way around it the old 65nm quads make a lot of heat if you run them hard. With a good cooler you can run 1.5V. and 3.7GHz on those.

Can this cooler: https://www.amazon.in/Antec-Cpu-Cooler-Fan-Compatible/dp/B01HLAHDWE/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1524817537&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=antec+cooler+lga775 handle the TDP of Intel Q6600? Will I need to supply external power to the cooler?
