Will a Y Splitter work on my fan header?

Hello all,

I am planning to buy two Coolermaster Sickleflow X's (red led) and a Y splitter as I only have one chassis fan header available. To my knowledge, each of these fans draw 0.35 amps and in total thats .70 amps right? So will my motherboard (Asrock H81M-HDS R2.0) be able to sustain .70 amps from the one chassis fan header through a splitter?

(I just want to make sure I don't fry my motherboard)

Thank you.

I understand. It's difficult to answer with full safety. You won't find this kind of information in your manual. The only way to make sure is ask Asrock about this. There are other solutions like using a 3-pin to molex adapter and connecting molex directly to your psu. Drawback would be that the fan would operate at maximum speed all the time. You can use a full speed fan as an exhaust though

Thanks for your reply,

But do you know a way to find out the amperage of your fan header because I really don't want to take any chances.

(I'm poor, been saving up for this pc a very very long time)
