So i have a very bad GPU, an Radeon R7 340 2GB DDR3.
So today i started my pc, and i start playing a game. but i notice it's lagging alot so i open task manager and i see my GPU usage is at 99% regularly it's at 40% so i open MSi afterburner and my GPU Clock is at 300 MHz and my memory at 299MHZ normally my GPU Clock is at 780 MHz and my memory at 900 MHz and i look at my GPU in afterburner it says AMD Radeon R7 200 series so i was like what?? then i open my performance test and i run a test it says i have Radeon R7 240 i do not know what do at this Point.
I've tried restarting my pc several times, No effect.

Also this all happened after I installed AMD Radeon software.

Have your fans failed and it needs to throttle the speed back so it is not overheating? You have Afterburner, so that tells you all the information you need. I am just curious if its a heat problem.
Or have you been infected with a crypto mining virus?
Just a thought
