Well, I’ll be picking up my first mac since the classic days.
I have an easy questions for anyone using a current Mac:

i have literally dozens of ntfs drives to transition. With the NTFS support issues already solved via commercial driver:

Anyone have JBOD usb or Bas experience?

I’m looking for multiple JBOD units that can handle my disks. I need them for both 2.5” SSDs and 3.5 inch disks. I’m also not looking for multi-thousand dollar things like google likes to move to the top of the list. Raid not required, nor wanted, usb 3 plug and go.
I’m also looking for a single NAS JBOD for 3-4 SSDs.

Side question, normal bandwidth issues aside, will I run into trouble plugging multiple 3-6 bay units into a usb3 hub and all into one Mac port?

Solution
I’ll answer my own question. Just so others have the info.
Most of the attempts I made were via JBOD and all either had errors or failed outright almost immediately. Looks like units that have a raid controller simply won’t work in this method.
However

Solution: dock units.
I found a few vantec nexstar docks worked for me. Including the 4 bay. These are 4 drive and 2 drive rocks with a single output cable. NO RAID support at all. And all working fine!
