Hi,
So yesterday I bought all my new parts and built my pc, working all fine. Then I installed my new ASUS AC51 Wireless USB Adapter's drivers, only to find it freezing and laggy the whole time. Nevertheless, I got connected to the network but it says that I am connected with no internet connection. Ethernet works fine. I also saw that when I plugged the adapter in my front panel where my Ext. HDD is connected, it resets the USB ports so that I keep getting the Windows notification of my external connected.
SEND HELP :)

Solution
If you are plugging the adapter into a USB 2.0 port then switch it up to 3.0 port. or if it's in a 3.0 port then go to a 2.0 port.
Leave the front panel alone and TBH plug the ext. HDD into a port on the back if you have enough available ports. Depending on what kind of external HDD you have it may be best to plug it into a 3.0 port.
