Hey

I have a new Firewire PCI-Card for an audio interface. When I put it in one of the slots on the main board, there is no more output signal from the graphics card. I tried to switch off the USB 3 controller, installed latest chipset drivers. I was running another Firewire card some years ago working fine.
I have no idea how to fix this.

System is:
GA-H77-D3H
Powercolor HD7870 PCS+

Thanks for your replies.
Best regards
Jannis

Solution
1. The first x16 slot is connected directly to the CPU, so none of the other expansion slots can interfere with it.

2. Check this setting in the BIOS under "Peripherals".

Init Display First
Specifies the first initiation of the monitor display from the installed PCI graphics card, PCI Express graphics card, or the onboard graphics.
* Auto - Lets BIOS automatically configure this setting. (Default)
* IGFX - Sets the onboard graphics as the first display.
* PEG - Sets the PCI Express graphics card on the PCIEX16 slot as the first display.
* PCI - Sets the graphics card on the PCI slot as the first display.
