I just erased my m.2 raid 0 500gb samsung 960 pros.. I heard 1 .m2 is faster then raid 0 now because the tech has got better making m.2 raid 0 obsolete.. so should I just use 1 as operating system drive & another for games & back up.. my thinking is running games off 1 m.2 & the other with the operating system would allow the operating system to be more flexible? what should I do & thank you in advance.

Regarding SSD's (SATA or NVMe) in normal consumer use, RAID 0 is no longer relevant.

Run them as individual drives, and back up to some other large HDD, like your 5TB.

1. Put the word and concept of RAID 0 out of your mind.

2. 1 drive for the OS and applications. 1 drive for all your other stuff (games, videos, etc)
A 3rd drive (1TB USB HDD) for backups.
