Solution
Run a check disk. If nothing;

Open elevated command prompt and run "sfc /scannow". If nothing;

Check temps are not excessive for the various parts of the system, and that all fans are running and that any overclocks have been set back to stock. If that doesn't solve it;

Run memtest86 - minimum of 2 passes. Monitor temps periodically.

See if any of that throws up anything.
