I have an ZT Systems computer that has an ASUS M3A78-CM Motherboard. Over the years that I have had it 3 of the SATA data portdoa s have gotten damaged so I deceided to replace th MB. I purchased a New MB on line. It is as exact replacement for the original. After installing it making sure that ever thing went back where it was. MB would power up but no boot or post. Worked with it for 2 days still no go. Put my old MB back it and boot up with no problem. put the new one back in, same problem. Put old MB back in. NO problems. Figured I got a DOA board. Returned it and got a refund with no problem. Started look for another MB and found one for sale by Goodwill. The stated that it had been tested and passed. It came with an AMD CPU and 3GB of ram (which was really 6GB. Didn't matter, I replaced them with my AMD CPU and ram. Install it and had the same problem as the New one. Power up but no boot or post. Put old MB back in and it is OK. What am I missing?

No I did not try with the CPU that came one it. But, After reading other Q & A's I found one that said to disconect all HD's and thenrestart. It took it a while for it to go thru some processes but finally came to "insert boot media". I connected the HD and it booted up normally. If I had know this before, the new MB that I returned probably would have worked. Next time I have a problem I will read MORE before acting. Thanks for your good site.

No. it will not boot with the CPU and memory that came with it. I have use all the components that came with it and the ones I already had on both MB and no luck.
