Hi Everyone,
These are the specs that i have Currently:

MotherBoard: intel dh67cl
GPU : Geforce GTX 970 4GB MSI
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400
RAM: 8GB
PSU : I can't recall but i'm sure it's a thermalTake with at least 600w (maybe a bit more)
I also have HDD and no SSD

I would like to upgrade this pc, to make it Good for Gaming AND for work. I would like to buy an SSD to make it fast, more Ram, a better CPU and GPU without changing my motherboard or PSU (i would change the PSU only if i absolutely have to).

Can anyone suggest a new build? with price ranges too. That would be very helpful
Thank you all!

Solution
Your motherboard supports only 2nd and 3rd gen of Intel core cpus (Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge).

If you wish t upgrade to 8th gen, you'll have to change also ram to DDR4 and motherboard.

Hello H3nry:D Can you please suggest a budget and area you'll be shopping at because prices and availability will vary by region?

i cannot play any game post 2016 comfortably on my rig. If the gtx 970 is as good as you say, that means the i5-2400 is surely the bottleneck right?
The 860 Evo is a great recommendation, i added it to my shopping cart.
Can you please suggest a new cpu in the less than 300$ mark?
Thank you for answering.

I can't recall but i bought it in 2016, but i wouldn't say it's an old one. I'll make sure to check the psu and get back to you.
Thank you for answering.

That most likely is limitation of your ram. Upgrade to 16GB.
For cpu upgrade - either i7-3770, i7-3770k, i7-2600, i7-2600k. Did you mean $300 in Australian dollars?

300 US dollars my friend. I bought 8GB of ram today, making my rig a 16GB one.
Are CPUs that expensive though? i've seen i7 in the eigth generation and you are suggesting a Gen 2 CPU
Thank you for answering.
