After years of dreaming and researching, i finally built my own gaming PC. worked my tail off at McDonalds doing 30 hour weeks at 15 and i bought the parts and built it. I tested the machine with a linux boot usb after just turning it on the make sure i got to BIOS. Everything was going great! that evening i started the installation of windows and stayed up until it finished. At 3 am I saw the windows 10 desktop and after clicking around to make sure the computer was working perfectly i went to bed. Next morning I see the thing on the BIOS password screen and now i get various boot device missing errors and am unable to reinstall windows on the drive or even format it as windows install gives an error for that too. Threw the drive into a functioning pc and loaded up some disk managing software and no matter what i try, my drive does not appear in the program. Other drives i have are but not that one. I am 100% broke and quit my terrible job so i cant buy a new drive. Any help?

Solution
When you did your install, did you have UEFI mode selected in BIOS?

CHange it to AHCI...

Does the drive at least show identified in BIOS afterward...?

Don't forget after the install, to change your boot device to the new OS drive vs. the install media after all files copied...otherwise, the process would be repeated...
