Hello
I am planing to build a pc for the first time and I need some help and advice on the build i made.
the main purpose of the PC is for gaming.
i have a budget of AU$3000.
Is it compatible?
Is it too much or too less for a first time builder?

I was also wondering if a GTX1080 ti is worth buying or is it better to go for a different graphics board.
also any tips on building will be great
thanks

Some people prefer higher resolutions, some people prefer larger screens, some prefer high refresh rates, and some like ultra-wide screens. Or some combination thereof.

My personal preference is for larger screens, and ultra-wide. I also tend to like resolutions at a screen size that others might say are too big for that resolution. I'm not all that sold on super-fast refresh rates. But that's me. Everyone's preferences...

You need to use the perma link below the one you used for anybody to see the build.

It seems to me that the 1080Ti is far beyond overkill for 1920x1080, even at 144Hz/fps.

EDIT: also, it might be worth considering somewhat slower RAM if it's notably less expensive, as Intel is less sensitive to RAM speed than Ryzen.

thank you
ill do that

Also with the keyboard I advise buying a tester set of switches (you can get a 3x3 grid) to see which you like best. You might buy reds and not like them for example.

For what you have today, even a 1070 would do the job, though it probably would not be able to maintain a steady 144fps at 1920x1080. A 6GB version of the 1060 would be the choice if you wanted 1920x1080 @ 60Hz/fps.

But since you're planning to upgrade, that makes the story different. If you're planning on going higher resolution in the near future, then you'd probably want to get a video card that can accommodate whatever that future monitor will be.
