Adding more ram to my hard drive ?

Quick question would giving my drive more ram (from 4 to 12) make the game on that drive run faster ???

I have 16Gb of ram and my Drive F "where my game is located "fortnite""
Has set by defult to use 4Gb ram so would changing that to 12Gb make the game run better ?

Terminology:

You don't add "RAM" to a "hard drive".

Please explain, in detail, exactly what you have.

Adding Ram to your PC will not speedup or add more space on the hard drive. They are two different parts.
If you compare computer parts to human body parts; a hard drive is long term memory while ram is short term memory.

I don't think you hard drive is 16 gb because it is really small and it is a non standard size.
Unless it is a partition on a drive and 16 gb is really small.

This is probably the space left on the drive.

If you need more space, you need to buy a new hard drive with more space.

Adding ram will make thing load faster or better but more than 8 GB ram for gaming is usually more than enough.

If you're talking about virtual memory leave Windows to manage it. In some cases if Windows doesn't manage pagefile properly then theres something wrong with the game and increasing pagefile manually can help but shouldn't need to with 16GB ram.

What is the exact problem you're having? Might not be memory related at all.
