Boot MGR missing problem

My computer build consists of two drives, a 250GB SSD and a 3TB spinning HD. The OS is installed on the 250GB SSD, which I have used as the boot drive since the beginning.

Recently I began to experience the BOOT MGR missing problem at boot up of the computer. I have checked loose connections and ruled out a faulty SATA cable. I have been able to perform a temporary fix by entering BIOS, and booting from the 3TB spinning HD (if I try to force boot from the SSD I will continue getting the Boot MGR message).

Unfortunately I do not have a windows 7 disc for a clean install.

Does anyone have suggestions for me to permanently solve this problem? I would like to actually boot from the SSD and get the maximum performance from the machine I've built. Thanks all.

Some additional possibly pertinent information:
- when in BIOS, the 3TB HD does not appear in the list of drives for "boot priority"
- when I go to Computer Management -> Disk Management, My C drive (SSD) lists as "Healthy (Boot, Page File, Active, Crash Dump, Primary Partition)"; My E Drive (3TB HD) lists as "Healthy (Primary Partition)"

Your SSD has priority having the Boot, Page File, Crash Dump and being Active, either your SSD is starting to fail or you've done something wrong on your boot system. I would reinstall Windows on it over again then cleanup the old Windows files left on it.

Do you have suggestions what might be wrong with the boot system, and if there are any solutions I could use? Unfortunately I do not have a windows 7 disc for a reinstall.
