Strange Graphical glitches and computer freezing

I'm having issues with running games on my computer, it seems the only game I can run without crashing is Crusader Kings II which isn't very taxing. This hasn't always happened either, I fixed it for a bit by underclocking but now that doesn't seem to work either.

If you are having to underclock your graphics card so that you can run a game it is more than likely going to be that you have a failing Psu or one that does not have enough watts. Also we really need full system specs when trying to diagnose issues like this.

Sorry about that, my specs are:
Processor: intel core i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.70GHz
Installed RAM: 16.0GB
Let me know what other info is needed, sorry I'm extremely new to the forum

Unfortunately I do not have another card, though I fear it may be a defective card as well. It started crashing then I fixed it using MSI afterburner and now it happens all the time.
