Hi.
Guys I need some help.
Looking to get a new X470 MB. Will be pairing it with 2700x.

Not an overclocker. Will probably run CPU on clock speeds.
My budget is $180 Max.

I've singled out Asus Prime X470-Pro and MSI Gaming Pro Carbon.

Both can do SLI, Crossfire, have NVME support. RGB headers
MSI has an extra 1 x WS2812B Individually Addressable RGB LED.

Gaming Pro Carbon has 2x 8 pin power connector compared to single 8 pin Asus Prime.
Other than that I don't see any significant difference.
6 xSATA on Asus vs 8X on MSI (isn't a worry for me)

RGB is important in this build. I will be getting T-Force Night Hawk RGB or Tridentz RGB RAM with RGB fans.

let me know.

Thanks

Ended up getting the Asus ROG Strix X470-F from Newegg ebay 15% going on right now.
Couldn't find the Prime X470 Pro on ebay from authorized seller.
So it's costing me same as Prime X470 Pro.

Thanks guys.

The memory will run of software nothing to hook up their for the RGB.
The fans are not listed most that can be controlled need a hub so no answer their without knowing the exact fans.
I would not buy a MSI motherboard and never recommend or buy Asus for personal reasons.

Just picking from those 2 since it's your build and not mine I would go with El Diablo and get the ASUS.

The MSI is the better overclocker, the Asus has a more user friendly bios. The extra power connector is quite often partly a pcie x16 supplement power connector, handy if the gpu is pulling heavy pcie loads from the slot. My msi mobo has a dedicated 6pin for that.

Mostly, the boards are pretty much the same in ability, the only real differences being a few gimmicks here and there, and aesthetics appeal.

Thanks for answers guys.
I think Prime Pro is pretty good for my needs. It doesn't have a addressable RGB 5V header that ROG Strix and ROG Hero VII have.
I can just use a simple RGB strip and maybe get Corsair LL120 or 140 fan kit later if required.

Thanks guys.
