Hi. I have reached to you for help because I do not know anywhere to ask. Here is my issue: Whenever I play Fortnite or really almost any other game, my PC turns extremely loud. It sounds like a literal lawnmower it my room and it overheats often. But, my PC does that not have that much room to breathe considering it cannot get air from the top or bottom because of the desk I have. The fan and something else is making a really loud noise. I really do not like it and am worried and it makes my game lag. I need a fix. I do not want it to get worse and I need help.

Please help fast,
Ryan.

Solution
Chances are you're hearing your CPU/GPU fan's ramping up to max rpm's. You should absolutely move the case where it can get some more air. Also, give it a good clean, especially the CPU heatsing/fan, and the GPU fan intake as well.

Your computer will need proper airflow to continue to work properly without overheating, therefore you may have to adjust your setup. Is the power supply mounted on the top or the bottom? If the computer is not on a proper surface that may be contributing to the heat and the noise, especially if it's the PSU is being smothered on the bottom of the case.

How many case fans do you have? Is it using the stock CPU cooler? Also, a dusting may do you a lot of good depending on how much use it has seen.

I have not cleaned it before, and It is in a pretty tight spot and has no room to breathe, and does not get much air flow. I believe I have one fan, but all I know is that it is loud when I play video games.

You need to see above / download cpu-z and report all the parts it lists - cpu, gpu, etc. also tempertures at idle and load.

You can use afterburners on screen display (osd) to watch temps in teal time while gaming.

How old is the PC? Is the place you live dusty? What is the ambient temperature in the room?

I will list my specs soon, the PC is almost two years old, it’s a gaming pc, and yes it’s dusty because it’s under a desk and doesn’t have much room to breathe. should i move it to my floor? i have an available spot.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from ryann39 : "PC is EXTREMELY LOUD!"

Hi.
Whenever I am playing Fortnite, or any other video game really, my computer gets really loud, and it does not get that loud when I am at the start menu or not playing a video game. It gets really hot, and loud. I do not want it to get worse, because it is already really loud and hot, and I think it will cause more damage if I leave it unfixed. How do I fix it?

In order for us to be able to assist you please:
- Post few pictures of your PC tower emphasizing case fans location so we can help you adjusting fan locations or upgrading your case fans for better airflow.
- Post full specifications of your PC (motherboard brand and model, CPU, CPU cooler, memory amount and speed, graphic card etc) ( you can use Piriform Speccy software and post a screen shot of the specifications summary)
- Download and install HWMonitor and post here screenshots of all system temperatures and fans speed while idle and when gaming or under load and mention softwares you use for controlling CPU, graphics and case fan speeds ( if you do)
- Get a helper preferably a computer savvy or a bit of handy man and make room for 2 hours disassembling your Pc and cleansing it up thoroughly, if you feel it's worth the effort, or just undust it to the best of your ability without disassembling anything ( like cleansing fan filters using canned air or wiping them off carefully etc)

Blowing on it doesn’t help. Compressed air in a can - you can buy it walmart or any office supply store. Use the straw-looking attachment.

Then, with the pc running and the side panel off, gently touch the center of each fan very briefly to dertermine which one(s) have a bearing going out. Replace any that are bad.

I recently blew on the fans a bit and other spots, i also moved it to the floor because it had no room before. My room is pretty warm because of the weather by me, and i think all of those are contributing to this. it’s just annoying because it makes a really loud humming noise and it gets hot
i checked my mai afterburner while gaming
it reaches 71 celsius and when i’m not playing it’s about under 60 celsius and it’s quieter
what should i do?

70 while gamine is fine, 60 on idle is a little high, you could take tower side panels off for a little while and see how temps go,
__ you need couple of softwares running all the time to help you keep an eye on your PC temperatures, fans speed, system utilization = This is basic monitoring
__You also need to take control of your fans speed - means you have the ability to adjust every single fan in your tower speed manually or best through a program
Meanwhile you could reply to my requests on my previous posting so we could help you better ! :)
