I need help connecting 2 separate avr receivers together. First i have a pioneer VSX-520-K 5.1 with a optical projector around my pool, second I have a avr-s900w denon with 5.1 inside my tiki bar connected to a 1080p tv and two additional speakers next to the hot tub. My goal is to take whatever input source and mirror both audio and video simultaneously at the pool and tiki bar. However I can not seem to get the second avr to produce any sound. So my question is; does anyone know of a way to work around this?

Solution
Did you connect your source to the Denon receiver? Did you connect HDMI output 1 to the TV and HDMI output 2 to the Pioneer receiver?
I suspect that there is no sound coming from the second HDMI output on the Denon. You may be able to set that in the Denon menu system.
If you can't do that then you need to connect your source to both receivers.
You can use an HDMI distribution amp to split its output and connect it to both receivers. Wireless HDMI exists if cables aren't practical.
