So I love to play fortnite but it stutters alot can someone please tell me why?
RAM:4GB
CPU:,PENTIUM G4400
GPU:GTX 1050
PSU:350W
HDD:toshiba DT01ACA050
OS:Windows 10 home 64bit

Solution
Yeah, it's your ram. You have too little. 8gb is the min right now, and 16gb is preferred for newer games.
So whats happening is, when your 4gbs fills up,it starts using the windows swap file which is much slower than system ram, and so causes the in-game slow downs as the swap file can't transfer data fast enough to the CPU.

i'd agree with that, but would advise OP not to just buy another 4gb stick, and jam it in. Mixing ram can be problematic. It's best to buy a matched kit to ensure compatibility and working straight out of the box.

Mixing DIMMS means the OP will most likely have to trick around with voltages and timings to get them to work. This can be a nasty experience for some.

Ok so my motherboard is: prime B250M asus so I have 4ram slost 2xA 2xB so right now I have in a slot A 1x4gb 2133mhz ram so will it be alright to put 1x8gb 2400mhz in B slot?

thats exactly what i meant mixing two dimms like that, it may not work.

Ideally you want two 2133 dimms or two 2400 mhz dimms. The reason is each of those dimms will have different timings and most likely different voltages. So by mixing them like that, you will have to try and find the lowest common denominator to make them work. It's trial and error and takes time to get them to work.

You could try it, and it may work, but I wouldn't take the chance myself. Buying 2 x 4gb kit is the way to go. Then sell your original dimm to offset the cost.

Even if you get another 4gb stick of 2133 it's still not guaranteed to work.

What ram did you buy? Good thing us your motherboard supports i7 cpu:s, what is your budget for cpu?
Next bottleneck will be your gpu, do you want to run fortnite with max graphics high fps or your ok with medium? Also what monitor refresh rate you have ( your monitors max supported)

I bought 2133mhz dimm cricual ram and my buget for cpu is around 150

Something like this would be a decent upgrade : PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Core i5-7400 3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($177.89 @ OutletPC)
Total: $177.89
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

It's twice the number of cores/threads and faster turbo speed which would help with gaming. The CPU is a little over the budget, but would be an improvement. I wouldn't recommend a second hand CPU, as you never know what has been done to them. But you may be able to find a decent processor around the 150 mark.

You will see a big benefit, not necessarily in FPS (but there will be an increase - for further FPS increase that's more GPU dependant), but in host processing, which will make gaming smoother as the CPU can handle more tasks simultaneously.

Thank you I will probably get i5 because my g4400 sttuters even when playing roblox even without any programs runing in the background at the beginning when I got g4400 it was working without a problem but when I upgraded to gtx 1050 and added 4gb ram (now I have 8gb ram) sttutering increased so now games are unplayable.

Yes, this can happen.

The price for the I5 7400 is ridiculously high though. You could consider selling your base system, minus the GPU (keeo the 1050). If you got 150 bucks, and put it with another 300 bucks or so you could have a new modern base system. Something like this:

CPU: Intel - Core i3-8100 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor ($118.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock - H310M-HDV Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($55.12 @ Newegg)
Memory: Team - Elite Plus 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($70.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair - 270R ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair - CX (2017) 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $344.98

So is there any possible way around this, when i play fortnite i open the task manager to see how much ram its taking up and it will say like 1100-2000mb tops and i still got RAM free and i still freeze and lag.

i got:

GTX 1070
i7 7700k
ASUS B250 Prime
600W Thermaltake Smart
4GB DDR4 2400MHZ

Firstly, you shouldn't really be hijacking another users thread!

But to answer your question, your system has a glaringly obvious imbalance. Your Ram. 4 gbs is simply not enough. If i were you, I would have 16gbs in there of a min of 2400mhz ram in a 2x8gb kit. It will solve any stuttering you may have, make your system much more responsive when multitasking, and get the most out of both your CPU/GPU which are very strong. Your system is hobbled with 4gbs of system ram. Games like BF1 use upwards of 9gbs at 1080p. That why you should have 16gb for a good gaming machine like that.

Don't forget some of your system ram is allocated to hardware, so with only 4gbs perhaps 3.5 is usable.

Im fine with 8 GB ram if playing fortnite but my system is like 8 years old and there is no point upgrading anymore DDR3 ram since i cant play most newest games well like BF1. Anyway your system has so good cpu and processor keith12 suggestion for 16gb is the way to go if your only gaming 16 is more than enough.
