Hi I'm looking for some help troubleshooting with this problem.

Ryzen 2400G
Gigabyte b350 Gaming 3 Motherboard
Team Group 3000 MHz DDR4 2x4GB
Corsair CX550M

I have checked the connections, reseated my CPU, tried with one stick of RAM (RAM WORKS as tested in another system) and unplugged my storage and non-essentials, as well as resetting the CMOS but I can't seem to get to post.

I've also verified that my HDMI and monitor are working properly.

The motherboard is stickered as "AMD Ryzen Desktop 2000 Ready" so it should have the BIOS compatible with my Ryzen 2400G

The current situation is that, when I power on, the system powers up with all fans working and lights. The problem is however than the red warning light is a solid red with a short flash to CPU every 10ish seconds.
Read a similar issue before but it didn't say if it was solved.

Thanks in advance.

You seem to be doing everything right. The lights indicate the problem is with your RAM. Although Team Group is a good quality supplier, it does not matter if the RAM works in another system, it may not be compatible with this motherboard. That is why Gigabyte provides a Memory QVL for the motherboard. Are you clearing the CMOS properly?

You may clear the CMOS values by removing the battery:
1. Turn off your computer and unplug the power cord.
2. Gently remove the battery from the battery holder and wait for one minute.
(Or use a metal object like a screwdriver to touch the positive and negative
terminals of the battery holder, making them short for 5 seconds.)
3. Replace the battery.
4. Plug in the power cord and restart your computer

The ram appears in the supported list by the manufacturer, how would I know if the bios and cpu are compatible. Is there any way to find out which bios is installed?

If the motherboard box is labeled as "AMD Ryzen Desktop 2000 Ready", that is all you need to know.
You should contact Gigabyte Customer Support on their website, for help with this problem, you may need to RMA the motherboard.

Hi I'm unable to see the sticker on the motherboard box but the website shows that the motherboard works with Ryzen 2. I'll get in contact with them later - could that be the reason for the DRAM error? Cheers

If the motherboard is not "AMD Ryzen Desktop 2000 Ready" it will not boot. What the lights indicate no longer matters.
