My computer keeps crashing whenever I play a game or do anything even remotely strenuous for more than 15 mins. I've opened the side of the computer and i have reapplied the thermal paste, i have gotten an SSD card in case it was a problem with the hard drive. I've even swapped my power supply to a newer one and nothing has helped at all. I don't know why it's happening but its beginning to become more frequent

Solution
Since you already got a new SSD, means that you already done with totally new window installation.
Do you overclock any part? if you did, turn it all off. In the past those overclock might work well, but after time it will break those part. Do not forget that gpu also need maintenance similar to cpu, if you have it over 5 years, it might need thermal paste replacement.
Also try to use 1 ram at a time, see if 1 ram is broken.
You already did swapped psu with newer one, does it has adequate watt for your build?

If everything above has been done and the problem still not solved, then the last thing can be said is one of your old part is coming to an end

Start off with at least three passes of Memtest86. RAM can often be at fault in crashes. Memtest86 can test out your RAM thoroughly for any issues. You'll have to create a bootable USB with Memtest86 on it, then boot to that.
