More RAM or more SSD? Which should I add to my laptop

Now, I've been moving from a place to place lately and I need a new laptop. Not only I'm a keen on gamer, but I'm using some video and photo editing software and that's why I need something powerful.
My new laptop will by (most likely):
Asus ROG Strix GL703GS-E5011:

Intel Core i7-8750H (6-cores, 12-threads, 2.20 - 4.10 GHz, 9MB cache)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB GDDR5)
1TB SSHD (5400) and...
16 or 32 GB of DDR4, 2400MHz RAM
+
500 or 1000 TB of NVMe SSD

Now my question is.. which would fit my needs better? Shall I add the +16GB of RAM or the +500GB of SSD? Which is better, and why?

Solution
16 gb's is enough for near everything these days... video editing rarely if ever uses even 16 gig's. And for gaming and video editing, a LARGE SSD is incredibly important. unless you pixar, or editing 4k video (And even that will be perfectly doable) 16 gig's will be more than adequate.

I would add the ram for better performance But if you are going to have a lot of games/ need to store a lot of things then I would get the storage, but if you got the money I would get both of them.

tbh, i thought that the SSD will give a better performance, because of the faster loading time and everything.. how's the ram better? can you explain this to me, i'd be thankful. sorry for my idiotism, but im just not that into these things. last time i had a new laptop, it was a present from my parents and yeah, i prefer being informed before jumping into wasting money etc.
