My first thought was the fan or the HDD. I have ran the Apple diagnostics test, everything came back good. I have SMC fan control running and it shows an average speed of about 1200rpm and a temp of anywhere from 39 to 49 degrees Celsius. What could the issue be?

Solution
It is pretty easy to take the bottom off the MacBook and physically check the fan for dirt and debris. It is a common problem that stuff gets trapped in there. If I were you I would remove the fan (you have to remove 3 torx screws and gently pry up a connection) and completely clean it with canned air or compressor or blow on it. Make sure it is spinning normally. Then make sure the radiator like thing on the fans blows air into is clear of dirt and debris as well.

Thanks, I really appreciate your answer. From what you said it doesn't sound like a MAJOR issue, at least not at this point, This macbook is my whole world though, I use it for both work and school, so if something happened, ugh, it would be a huge bummer. The macbook operates as fast and as smooth as it always did. Thank you again, when I find the right kind of tool, I will take your advice.
