GTX 1080 FE or MSI GTX 1070Ti Gaming X

Hey Guys,

I about to purchase a new graphics card. Since graphics cards are high in demand these I have only a couple of cards to choose right now and I was wondering if i should go for the GTX 1080 FE or the MSI GTX 1070 Ti Gaming X. I know it should be a no brainer considering the 1080 is superior compared to the 1070 Ti also know 1070 Ti almost offers a similar performance when overclocked but the funny thing is the 1080 FE retails 60 dollars cheaper than the MSI 1070 Ti Gaming X in my country which puts me in a dilemma bcoz I am also worried about the thermals of the FE card since I always hear they gets extremely hot when compared to the after market cards .

Should I compensate the thermals for the 1080 FE which is a better card and also cheaper or Should I go for the 1070 Ti? Kindly help me choose which one should I go for.

1070 TI over 1080 Definitely, As all of Nvidia x80 series cards have always lead to be one of the worst choices for gamers due to the fact that You get very similar performance for a cheaper price in the 1070 TI, and if you want performance better than a GTX 1080, you just go for a 1080 TI.

It was the same situation in the 900 series where a majority of the people bought a GTX 970 or a GTX 980 TI, leaving those that purchased a GTX 980 feeling quite hosed off and also feeling like their money was poured down the sewage drains.

1070 TI over 1080 to prevent any emotional antsy feelings from arising within your spirit.

Thanks for the reply. I know mate but the reason for the dilemma is bcoz of the price. That's why I asked should I compensate the thermals for better performance that too for a cheaper price.

The thing is 1080 FE retails for $672 and the 1070 Ti retails for $733 and then there is the 1080 Ti FE which retails for $838. These are only options that are available for me right me. Kindly help me choose one and also give me its pros and cons.

Currently the GTX 1070 TI is priced as low as $499 USD while the GTX 1080 is currently sitting as low as $579 on Newegg.com

I'll let you do the math.
