Hello. I have a PC with these specs

  • i5-4590
    16GB RAM
    GTX 960
Samsung 840 Evo 256 GB SSD with windows on it
2x WD Blue 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD configured as a spanned drive through disk manager. (It contains most of my programs and all of my files.

I had windows defragmenter configured to defrag my hard drive and TRIM my SSD once a week, and it has worked well for a long time. However, I looked at the tool today and Windows defragmenter no longer shows my HDD in the drives list. It also says my C drive SSD now says, "No optimization available". I don't know when this has started acting like this, but I just found out today. I read somewhere to use chkdsk and I checked all of my drives. It said there were no errors found in any of the drives. I then tried using 2 different 3rd party disk defragmenting tools. I used Defraggler and Auslogics disk defrag. Both were able to detect my HDDs, but neither would actually do anything. I ran the defrag on each drive for more than 3 hours. They both said my drive is 16% fragmented, but their progress bar for defragmenting were stuck at 0%. How can I fix this? Could it be due to having the spanned drive? Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. I did say I have tried both the Auslogics and Defraggler. Both don't actually work. Nothing happens if I press defrag. It stays at 0% after hours. What can be causing this?
