Is overclocking my RAM to 3200MHz safe?

These are the relevant specs of the system I want, gathering PC parts:
16GB 3200MHz DDR4
ASUS ROG Strix B350-F

The ASUS website says the RAM can achieve 3200MHz via overclocking. I assume the base would be 2666MHz because that's the last value it states before it mentions values that require overclocking. Would it be safe to make an overclock from 2666MHz to 3200MHz?

If you need any more information of the system, just let me know :)

Thanks!

If you bought RAM that specifies 3200 as its speed, then setting it to such speed is safe - but will not necessarily be successful. Especially on the Ryzen systems that are somewhat picky about RAM. Generally, you can try to set such speed in BIOS, and worst that can happen is the system refuses to boot. Then it will either make few reboots and set the RAM speed back to base (with a message that RAM overclock failed), or you will have to reset CMOS otherwise to get it back to working. Either way, it should not damage anything. The only danger in overclocking RAM is when you increase RAM voltage - that can do damage to both motherboard and CPU if you set it too high.
