I bought a new geforce gtx 1050 oc 2gb graphic card .the problem is that when i installed it to my machine the monitor goes black and comes back to normal again for every twenty minutes and most of the games get lagged too.i cannot use my machine for any work cant even access anything the screen goes black and comes back sometimes it even say no vga connected too.
After that i installed my old one gt730 everything is fine but some games lag still.there is no problem with my other work i can use it.

my specs
pentium g3250 3.2 dual core 4th gen
8gb ram
gt 730
500w power supply unit

the thing is i connected my new graphic card with a cable adapter not hte long wire so i think it might not be supporting the new graphic card or sometimes my power supply unit can be the problem because it is old.

i have to say that i dont have a ups and that can might be the problem to my situation

please help guys

What do you mean the cable adapter? Are you talking about the PCIe power connector from the PSU to the GPU. I don't think the 1050 requires an additional 6 pin power connection as the PCIe slot can provide enough watts. Maybe there are some 1050 models that have a 6 pin connection.

It could be a driver issue or corruption. Since you have dropped it in from an older GPU, I would do a clean uninstall of the old drivers. Use the DDU tool below to remove the old drivers and then do a clean install of the new 1050 drivers.

the adapter that i am telling is the connector which connects the monitor to the graphic card
vga to dp
monitor port vga to adapter port vga to graphic card port
dont you think that this is not a problem due to the power supply
