HDD no longer recognized, acts as if it is empty, and needs Initialized. I Know I have data on it still.

I can't believe this seems like an obscure issue. It is happening to me. My Game Library, 2 X 500 GB HDD in Raid 0. The most frustrating part? This happened to me before, and I can't remember how I fixed it. Part of what I did, was I changed or reassigned a drive letter to the drive, If i recall.

Well if you've had this happen before and fixed it then it seems data recovery should be possible assuming the drives are healthy. Try to reconstruct the RAID0 with data recovery software a few popular choices... DMDE.com / R-Studio / UFSexplorer

Intel i5 6600k Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, 16GB Ram at 2666, M.2 operating Volume, 1TB HDD, 120GB 2 1/2 SSD, and 1GB HDD Game Volume(2 x 500 GB, in Raid 0) Win 10 home
This set up was built summer 2016, and has been operating steady since.

NOTE: One recent change, *Slightly suspect, both issues happened after the update*

April Windows update. (Coincidentally my Ryzen Computer refused to recognize the XBox1 controller after the update)
