Motherboard Profile??? - Corsair 2x8GB Vengeance LPX 2666MHz DDR4

So I am wondering how to use these two sticks of memory correctly

MB Giga Z370XP SLI Rev 1 (F7 Update - latest BIOS)
Memory is listed in title
32GB Optane
i5-8400(non k)

So they sticks are 2666MHz, do I need to go into BIOS and set XMP profile?

I don't know what that is and I have never done anything like that. I just want to make sure that I am doing this all correctly.

Also I will start another thread asking about Intel Optane since I want to make sure I have that setup properly as well. Unless I can just keep asking here. No SSD just Optane...

That CPU supports 2666Mhz memory so it may recognize it fine with everything set to auto. You can check in CPU-Z. If it doesn't then just set it manually to 2666Mhz in BIOS - no biggie.
To use the Optane drive you just need to plug it into the M.2 slot, boot into BIOS, and turn on the Intel Optane setting - that's it!

Thanks for the response and sorry for the delayed response back. I haven been busy and the wife had lots of studying to do so I have not had access to her PC in a couple of days. I will try it out in the next day or so and let you know. Thanks for the help
