Powerline speed problem?

Hi,

I recently moved into a new building and it had no internet connection in the bedrooms (for some reason). So my provider offers a free wifi powerline. With this powerline I'm mostly getting 90 mbps in terms of speed, sometimes this can be 150 mbps, but this is the maximum.

My internet subscription has a speed of 240 mbps (which I do get by connecting directly to the modem)
Is there anything that might make it faster?

Specs according to provider:

The best powerline units are based on the newer av2 standards. These units claim speeds of 1200mbps or higher but in real world installs you are extremely lucky to get even 150mbps. The actual speeds are based on the wires in your house.

So I suspect you are getting a fairly average speed for using powerline technology.

The only way to be sure to get more speed is to use ethernet cable but for most people that is not really a option to cut holes in the wall.
