Solution camieabz May 6, 2018 1494 runs on the Intel Q67 Chipset - http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/specs-hewlett-packard-1494/ Q67 Chipset supports PCIe 2.0 x16 1050ti is PCIe 3.0 x16 That's the paper version. The reality is it will probably work fine - http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3248140/gtx-1050-pcie.html and - https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/779929-gtx-1050-ti-on-pcie-20/ Just be aware that some 1050ti cards have a 6-pin ATX connector for the PSU. Your PSU might not have that, so get a card without one.
