Zotac GTX 1060 6gb Mini Fan issue

ok, so I am having an issue with my Zotac GTX 1060 6gb Mini. The fan has been pinging off the heatsink and just overall running poorly. Don't have the cash to get a new card right now. I would put a liquid cooler on it but have no room in my case for another one. (Using a liquid cooler for my CPU) Are there any other fixes I can go for? Also, the card is no longer under warranty so I can't RMA it.

Ok, sounds like you need a replacement fan then. I don't know if there is any way of buy one from Zotac, probably not. Just looked at a photo of the card, it might be possible to find a smaller fan (around 90mm) that would fit inside the plastic cover. If not, then all I can suggest is buying a fan (maybe 120mm), remove the plastic cover and somehow attach the fan directly onto the heatsink, maybe with some cable ties.

Ok, so is the fan motor moving around too? It sounds like the mounting has come loose and needs to be tightened somehow. As I said earlier, maybe some screws have fallen out?
