Hey so i have some money left to upgrade my pc a bit but im not sure what to get.At first Ram seemed like the obvious choice but im not sure anymore,My pc specs:
Mobo:ASrock Z370M Pro4
GPU:Asus ROG STRIX GTX 1050Ti
CPU:i3-8100
CPU Cooler:CoolerMaster Hyper 212 LED Turbo
HDD:1TB Barracuda
SSD:WD Green 240GB
PSU:Corsair CX450W (Grey/White Label)
RAM:HyperX 2x4GB 2666Mhz

Solution
I agree with the previous poster as well. But another 8 gig a ddr4 wouldn't hurt either. i3 yo an i7 wouldn't be a bad jump. Ok so you could go quad chan ddr4 2x4 gig and get a decent boost there not sure how much comparitvly to doing the video card upgrade. Or even an i3 to it or even i7. I would do the math and see which one is feasible for how much money you have. Definitely wouldn't just do a single stick of ram vs getting 2 or even a video card upgrade.

How much ram are you working with now? Don't mix and match. Instead buy a ram kit. You also forgot to mention your budget. You could go a better SSD and sell the one you're currently working with and use that amount for better ram. Again, why are you working with a Z370 board? Do you plan to buy a K suffix processor part from the Coffeelake lineup?

Since i have 50$ over i was thinking if i should go ahead and upgrade something because i see people telling me 8GB of ram these days is minimum you should have for a gaming pc.

RAM prices are sky-high right now due to the recent switch from DDR3 to DDR4 spiking DDR4 demand while manufacturers are still splitting their production between DDR3 and DDR4, and us being in an undersupply stage of the supply/demand cycle. Unless you're actually running into memory problems with a game you're trying to play, I'd just save the $50 for future use. Maybe jump up to 16 GB in the future.

Ideally you could sell the 1050 Ti, and use the money you get plus the $50 to get a 1060. There's about a 50% performance gap between the two. But it's uncertain how much money you could get for a used 1050 Ti.
