i have main wireless router connected directly to internet and attached secondary wireless router to increase wireless coverage via ethernet cable

settings main router ip is 192.168.1.1 as gateway and secondary router ip is 192.168.1.2
internet connection run without any issue from both wireless router

now i can access to main router web-based setup page remotely from internet just with simple typed my public IP on the web-browser,
but how can i connect to secondary router web-based setup page?
i have set on main router port forwarding 192.168.1.2 with port 502. Am i correct ?
but when i typed http://(my public ip):502
the web-setup page on secondary router did not showed up, is there an option i'm missing?

thank you,

You have to see if the second router even allows WAN access to the config. It may or may not. If it does, then I would set it to an alternate HTTP port like 8082. Then on the first router, port forward 8082 to the second router. Why 8082? Because I would set the primary router to 8081 so that port 80 is not active on the public side of the primary router.

I agree with that.

Whether it is configured as an AP or a router, the port range change and the port forwarding would be the same. But I also cautioned against ANY WAN access for router config but the OP wanted the info anyway.
