Need some help as I don't know what I'm doing... I have used the 2 native (6+2) Power cables from my PSU and plugged them both into the graphics card but when I power up I get a message on my screen saying that I need to "power down and connect the pci-e power cable(s) to the graphics card"

I have connected them, why aren't they working.....

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list them like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Is this a GPU upgrade? If so what was your prior GPU? Are you on the latest BIOS revision for your motherboard? Make sure the connectors are all the way in.
