i am goin to buy a new gaming pc using the Asus Prime Z370-P and Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz 16GB.
My question is: Can i just pop the ram sticks in the motherboard or do i have to do some overclocking considering it is a 3000MHz kit? i looked at the specs of the motherboard and it said that 2800MHz needs overclocking.

1| You just need to enable XMP within BIOS and you're good to go but please keep in mind that you're going to need a K suffix processor part. Non K suffix processors have their ram support locked to either 2400MHz or 2666MHz.

2| Assuming you're going with an i7-8700K, the default memory frequency supported by the IMC is 2666MHz so anything above that number is an overclock.

I am going to use an intel core i5 8400, does it help using a 3000 or 3200mhz kit?
