Hey,
I'm looking into getting the 8600k and OCing it to 5ghz, I've been doing some research on motherboards and overclocking and have read a lot about VRMs and that if I'm going to be OCing and want it to last a long time, I'd want a quality motherboard with quality VRMs.
I've looked at a few so far including the gigabyte aorus range which apparently is hit and miss - some boards have insanely hot VRMs others reach only 65 degrees.
I've also looked at ASUS range from the Z370 Prime-A to the Maximus X Hero, big price difference but also big quality difference.
TL;DR What motherboard would you pair with a i5 8600k @5ghz for longevity?
I'd rather spend a bit more money on a high quality board then buy a cheaper one and have something go wrong.
