Question about resetting acer laptop with windows 10 upgade

Hello
i have an Acer laptop that came with windows 7...Later i upgraded to windows 10. The computer then crashed and i did a reset with the option to erase everything. I thought the os would go back to windows 7 but it started up with windows 10. Why did this happen..thanks

You did a fresh start or a refresh for new Windows version. You must go into settings, update and security and find the option that says something like" go back to Windows 7". This option is available only if you have done the upgrade 10 says ago, at most.

ok thanks...if that option is gone what can i do?..the problem i am having now is the blue windows activation screen is coming up and i have a win 7 key
