Win 7 does not boot

Solution

You can't "fix it" from a different PC with a different operating system.
You can't use an external drive as a Windows boot drive. The only situation where you can use an external drive for Windows is when it's setup to use as a Windows installation drive. For instance, a usb dvd drive with a windows installation disk or a usb thumb drive where the Microsoft media creation tool was used to make it into a installation drive.

Not entirely true

But it won't help here.

Maybe I did not place the question right. The drive I want to repair is from another PC which I'm attaching via USB to a WIn 10 sys on a laptop. I want to check the MBR because it is not booting. My question will be then, can I repair this drive?
