ATM we are living without internet and our neighbor is letting us use their for the time being. The router is probably about 3 or 4 medium rooms away. Pretty far away, we usually get about 2 bars sometimes 3. We setup a wifi extender which fixes the disconnecting issue we were having but the ping issue is still there. Latency likes to jump around very erratically and playing online games is basically an impossibility. Wired connection is not possible. What are some ways we could fix this?

Hello PossibleTango,

If you want a really fast connection, try directional antennas. You set 1 up you're side and point it at the access point. Some of these antennas can cover up to 30 miles, so you should not have a problem.

Small note, you might have to setup another antenna on the access point, depending on the router's specs.

Best regards,
