Razer Naga Chroma (Purchased 2017) acting up

I've been having issues with my Razer Naga Chroma over the past few days. I'm guessing it's something to do with the optical sensor, because it's:

- Randomly stopping working at all, despite the lights on the mouse remaining on
- Randomly drifting away from where I drag it

I've tried a bunch of different fixes: uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, switching USB ports, cleaning the sensor with rubbing alcohol, and all had no effect.

Is it a hardware issue, or should I replace the mouse?

Solution
As already mentioned it could very well be hardware related-Razer products look good but build quality can be sub-par. You can always try using the mouse on a different system to make sure that this is the reason for your woes.
