Hi guys,

Please help me in choosing a PSU for my following build:

MOBO: ASUS STRIX Z370-E GAMING
CPU: I7-8700K
RAM: 16GB DDR4 Vengeance 3200MHz C14
CPU Cooler: Antec Mercury 240 Liquid Cooler
GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX 1080Ti

Your help will be super appreciated! :)

I was thinking of getting the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750W...

Do you think that will be a good choice?

That isn’t a good choice if it’s more expensive than a 550w high quality PSU. Because 550w is more than enough for your build.

Often times higher wattage power supplies are louder, and cause more damage if something goes wrong.

Where are you located? Do you have a budget in mind? How important is silence for you?

Just so I don’t have to spend a lot of time linking, Someone has already done this

More bulk capacitance, and a lot more current can be delivered. For example If a component shorts pulling current, it will take a lot longer to trigger OCP/OPP,
