Yes you can, but why an old R9 270X? Get a better newer card like a GTX 1050. Which PSU do you have?

Any mobo that has a PCI-e x16 slot will support any graphics card irrespective of memory type. As for your mobo it has a PCI-e x16 slot, so it is supported.

Actually, better isn't quite the right word, newer works. The R9 270x is actually pretty comparable to the 1050.

The R9 270x would definitely play games with a Pentium. There might be a slight CPU bottleneck, but you should be pretty happy with the performance Also, your PSU is plenty for a Pentium and a 270X. It should make a pretty good budget gaming machine.

The R9 270X does a good job but still the GTX 1050 is slightly ahead.

Your comparison there is with the 1050 Ti which is a different card. The R9 270X is actually a smidge faster than the GTX 1050. The 270X sits between the 1050 and the 1050 Ti. It is actually a pretty respectable spot for an older mid-range card. When I looked it up earlier I was really surprised that it performed so well compared to modern hardware. It is a pretty darn good value if you can get one for under $120 or so.
