Currently i have one 1TB HDD for my Asus M32BF model desktop. I want another 1TB HDD. I'm confused if i have the right cables or not. I have two cables that look like they would be for an HDD they are just hanging, not pluged in. I guess one is for the power supply and the other is for the sata. My question is, do i have to buy a certain HDD that will be compatiable with my computer, and can you lead me in the right direction, like ebay. I saw some on there that are pretty cheap for a 1tb hdd. Please and thank you.

You need a SATA cable. Pretty much all cables these days will be fine - They are Sata 3.
The other connector is a sata power connector (A thin flat plug).

I'd be really careful buying any electronics off eBay.

Once you connect the drive you will have to initialize it so Windows sees it.

Windows 7 - Control Panel, Administrative tools, computer management, Disk Management)
Windows 10 - Win-X, disk Management

How thin does the cable look like? The one i have has four connector holes, and a little one with connector holes, i have a total of 4 cables that are zip tied and are close to the hard drive and dvd drive.
