Im trying to updating my Asus Z97-P MB from a I5-4690K to a I7-4790K.
The PSU is a Corsair CX750M (750w)
Running Windows 10.
Have updated the Bios to the newest version 2907.
The problem is that when I start it up. The PC gets power and all the fans and graphic card turns on, but the CPU does not boot. (No beep)

If I change back to the I5 everything works fine.

I cannot see that there are any damage on the new CPU.

Any suggestions?

Enter the BIOS with the old CPU and reset the BIOS to default settings, press F10 to save then power OFF.
Disconnect the power cord from PSU and press the power button for 15 seconds to discharge power left on capacitors.
Remove the CMOS battery.
Install the new CPU.
Place the CMOS battery back, plug the power cord and turn ON the PC.
Hold down the 'DEL' key during BOOT and enter the BIOS, now re-enter any data (time, date, etc) needed.

Ok followed all the instructions as listed. Still nothing.
Black screen and still does not boot.

I had purchase CPUs from eBay that appeared just fine to the naked eye but were already defective.
There is only one 8-pin connection on your motherboard, right behind the VGA/DVI ports.
