Need Help With Hardware

I am about to start my upgrade process and have some final questions and issues. To start, I purchased an iBuyPower desktop less than a week ago and want to upgrade specifically the RAM and the Hard Drive.

The computer came with an ASUS B360M-A PRIME Motherboard. MSI Radeon RX 580 4GB Graphics Card. 2 TB HDD. ADATA DDR4 2400 8GB Ram. It also has a 16GB Optane Stick in one of the M.2 Slots.

For the Ram, I actually looked and could not find the exact ram I currently have, so I will be replacing it with 2x XPG Spectrix D40 RGB 2400MHz 16GB (2x8GB) 228-Pin PC4-19200 Desktop U-DIMM. Here is my current RAM https://imgur.com/yLiGfjC

I will be removing the 16gb Optane and replacing it with a Samsung 960 EVO Series - 500GB NVMe.

Now to my questions.

First with the RAM. I will be putting the 2x 8gb sticks into the Channel A DIMM a1&a2 slots. Please correct me if im wrong. Here is my MOBO UG says https://imgur.com/a/MEAJNpV

I will be replacing the Optane Stick with the Evo SSD Stick. Is this correct or should I be using the other M.2 port. The optane is currently in the lower M.2 port on the board.

Here is the layout of my board and info on the M.2 from my MOBO UG https://imgur.com/a/FIZXOV7

I am also not that smart when it comes to software so I am going to use the Samsung data migration to transfer the OS over to the SSD from the HDD that way I don't have to reinstall windows.

As for the process. I will disable optane and restart the computer and ensure it is off. I will shut down. I will be disconnecting all of the power. I will replace the RAM. Remove the Optane and replace it with the EVO SSD. I will start up the computer and use samsungs software to migrate the OS to the SSD. I will shutdown then go into BIOS and make sure it then boots off the SSD. That should be it.

Please let me know if I am wrong or incorrect. Again I apologize for such a long description, I just dont want to mess this up but I also want to learn how to do this.

Solution
Your RAM should be located in DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2.

Your motherboard has two M.2 ports so you can use both the Intel Optane drive and the Samsung Evo SSD.

Don't make all your changes at once. If you run into problems you will not know which change caused the problem. Make one change, make sure everything is working properly, then move on to the next upgrade.
