Every time I turn my computer on, if i slightly move the power supply or even plug in an Ethernet cable the entire computer will shut off. Can my motherboard even be damaged in such a way?
check the supply to the psu (from the wall plug).next time you start your pc,wiggle the plug to the back of the psu.if it causes the shutdown you have your culprit.
if it a home build pc make sure the mb shield not shorting out. if it a pre build check that none of the wires are cut/pinched. if you cant find what doing it take it to a shop before another part gets killed by spikes.
